For my first ever Photoshop lesson since college, we learnt how to create a non destructive Photoshop image. This is the creation of an image using several layers using layer masks to create your image.
For me this was a brand new way to edit an image and i would recommend learning it!
I am pretty happy with how i did and am surprised with what i have learnt.
We started off learning the difference between CMYK and RGB.
CMYK: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (Black)
Key = Black (they can't use B for Black as B is already Blue)
CMYK is used for print based graphics such as posters, flyers and magazines. They are the four ink tones that you can still sometimes find on the printed item. They look like four circles next to each other in each colour.
RGB: Red, Green, Blue
RGB is used for digital based graphics such as web design or digital photographs. They are the three tones found in pixels.
These are my step by step screenshots of the creation of my Tree In A Bulb.
